Role: Van Service Driver

Reports to: Driver Team Leader South

Location: Oxford

Our drivers are the public face of the Pipers brand and are in the front line of our promise ‘to deliver excellent service to our customers’. As the link between Pipers and our customers, you will proactively support their needs, support the rest of the Pipers team, keep up to date with our unique products and brand values, and ensure that our customers have the best Point of Sale material on their premises.

You will be the key link between the customer and the Sales team back at base, relay information and intelligence that will help increase sales, retain customers and provide unbeatable service levels.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • To deliver customer orders which are pre-planned and routed in order, to the highest standard and offer excellent service.
  • To be fully knowledgeable about our product range and Point of Sale materials (i.e. stands).
  • To collect cash where required and reconcile invoices at the end of each day.
  • To load the vehicle daily from a prepared pick list.
  • To ensure the vehicle is checked daily from a checklist and is in good running order.
  • To observe and follow the laws and rules of the road, parking etc.
  • To manage time effectively.
  • To undertake other duties, including occasional warehouse duties, to ensure Pipers’ customers receive excellent service.

Essential Skills and Experience

  • Great customer service skills.
  • Proactive and work on own initiative.
  • Good administration and numerical skills.
  • Strong communication skills.
  • Ability to communicate with different people.
  • Able to work under pressure.
  • Confident driving skills and clean licence (up to 6 points considered).
  • Drive, enthusiasm and a team player.


This is a full-time permanent position. Overtime rate for any hours over 42.5 per week.
